At 53 years old, I thought that no election would be as important as the one I voted in, age 24, to remove the Government of Margaret Thatcher.
I was wrong.
This current Government have tried to finish the work Thatcher started.
Record homelessness, poverty, a hostile environment against the sick and disabled, our own citizens, children, the elderly and anyone who isn’t part of the 1% who are the only people this Government represents.
A GE is looking likely very soon, and I have to say it is the most important one in my lifetime.
Removing this Government is vital to so many of us.
People are hungry, homeless, in poverty, whether in work or not.
Many of us need a change of Government – we cannot take many more years of the Tories.
For the sake of the many, please, please vote Labour. Imagine how different our country could be with a Government who cares, with people unafraid to get sick, with our NHS and other services properly funded, with working families not relying on food banks, with children not going school hungry, and so much more.
Change is at the tip of our fingers. It’s a cross in a ballot box away.
Please, for the 99% Vote Labour and get kinder, gentler politics.
